If buildings could speak, Bisham Abbey would have a fascinating story to tell.

The 800 year old Abbey was once a home for the English nobility and aristocracy and is now one of the UK's National Sports Centres providing training grounds and a centre of excellence not only for the country's leading sportsmen and women but also the local community within sports and leisure. The site is a prestigious training venue for over 20 different sports.

It is the head office and flagship academy of Win Tennis, and has recently been accredited as an International High Performance Centre by the LTA.

Situated on the River Thames in between Junction 4 of the M40 and Junction 8/9 of the M4, the academy is just 20 minutes from Heathrow Airport and 30 miles from the centre of London.

With 4 four indoor courts, 4 floodlit outdoor acrylic courts and 4 artificial clay courts, the academy trains at one of the best facilities in the country.

In addition to excellent tennis facilities, there is a state of the art gymnasium and houses the English Institute of Sports’ facility for world class athletes.

The facilities include:

  • A £1.2 million international hockey pitch
  • An indoor tennis centre featuring four tennis courts
  • Four outdoor clay tennis courts and four acrylic tennis courts
  • Climatisation chamber
  • Hydrotherapy pool
  • A fully-equipped elite strength and conditioning facility
  • Large community gym, including two squash courts
  • A remodelled nine-hole par three golf course
  • A sports therapy performance centre which enables elite level sports science and medicine services to be provided on site

Win Bisham consists of players with ATP / WTA rankings, U18 ITF rankings, U16 & U14 Tennis Europe rankings, as well nationally ranked players.

The Academy programme ranges from full-time players competing on the ATP / WTA tour, junior players combining a full-time tennis programme with on-site education, a pre-academy and evening performance squads, right through to mini tennis for players aged as young as four years old.

A typical day for a full-time academy player consists of 4 hours of tennis training per day with LTA qualified & licensed coaches and a comprehensive physical training programme.
