Win Mini Tennis - bringing the sport to children

Mini Tennis at Win Bisham

Mini Tennis is specially designed for children under 11 years old and is an exciting introduction to the game.

The game is divided into three colour-coded stages: Red, Orange and Green, like the sequence of traffic lights. You move up from red to green as you improve your technique.

In the process, the court size, racket length, ball speed and the length of games all increase until players are ready to move on to the full game of tennis.

The Win Tennis Pathway shows the progress which can be achieved by our junior players.

The 2011 summer term is now in full swing and Mini Tennis & Talent ID sessions are available at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre. Use the link below to download a programme leaflet and application form.

The Win Westway Junior
Grand Slam

The Grand Slam Tour is the Win Westway internal competition series.

It is only open to players who are involved in the programmes at Westway Sports Centre or link venues and has been designed to provide competition for players at all levels of the programme. It’s an ideal environment to introduce players to competition and for them to grow in confidence before stepping outside the club to compete in Open events.

In order to ensure that the maximum number of matches are completed in the time available, players in the Red and Orange categories will be placed into teams and will be rotated on and off court based upon the first matches to finish.

This may mean that some players play more matches than others but will help to ensure that players overall are more active than using more traditional formats.

For further details on competition dates and how to enter, speak to your Mini Tennis coach.
